Canal Place is located in Western Maryland in the historic downtown area. The City of Cumberland is one of America’s best preserved towns, featuring a Colonial past and Victorian charm. Within a few blocks of Canal Place, visitors can enjoy the many shops and restaurants that are at Historic City Center –  a pedestrian walking mall as well as museums and historical sites on Washington Street.

Directions:
Canal Place is located in Western Maryland in the City of Cumberland, most easily reached via Interstate 68. Cumberland is centrally located from nearby metro areas, about 2 and a half hours from Baltimore, Washington and Pittsburgh.

From Baltimore:
Take I-70 West to I-68 West to Cumberland. Take the Downtown Exit (43C) and turn left at the bottom of ramp (stop sign). Go straight ahead through traffic light into the Canal Place parking lot. The entrance to the lot is located at the intersection of Harrison Street and South Mechanic Street. Parking is $1 per hour (Visa & Mastercard credit card only) in the gated lot.

From Washington, DC:
Take I-270 North to I-70 West to I-68 West to Cumberland. Take the Downtown Exit (43C) and turn left at the bottom of ramp (stop sign). Take I-79 South to Morgantown then take I-68 East to Cumberland. Take the Downtown Exit (43C). Make a left at the bottom of the exit ramp. Go left at the next traffic light (across from the Ramada.) Go straight ahead through traffic light into the Canal Place parking lot. The entrance to the lot is located at the intersection of Harrison Street and South Mechanic Street. Parking is $1 per hour (Visa & Mastercard credit card only) in the gated lot.
